This pathway prepares scholars to apply mathematical and scientific principles to the design, development, and operational evaluation of structural, load bearing, material moving, transportation, water resource, and material control systems, and environmental safety measures. Civil engineers design, build, supervise, operate, and maintain construction projects and systems in the public and private sector, including roads, buildings, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges, and systems for water supply and sewage treatment.
